Materials Needed:

🖨️ Printed activity pages (page 4 and 5 optional)
✂️ Child-safe scissors (optional, for cutting flowers on page 4 and crown on page 5)
🖍️ Crayons, markers, or colored pencils (optional)
✏️ Pencil

⏱️ Time Needed: 10-20 minutes

👩‍👧 Best As: A do-together activity for younger children who are just beginning with ten frames and addition, and an independent activity for older children who already have experience with these concepts.

How to Use:

Print the activity pages.
On page 1 , follow your child’s lead. Model how you count and use the ten frames to help you, if needed.
For page 2, you can cut out the flowers (on page 4) if your child prefers movable pieces—or let them draw their own instead.
On page 3, support your child to use the ten frames to solve simple addition problems with flowers.
Your child can color the flowers to make their garden unique!

Using ten frames helps children see numbers, not just count them.
