Kids have flexible bodies and open minds—which makes them the perfect students for yoga! Introducing kids to yoga at an early age will help them connect with their thoughts while building strong, confident bodies. There are a variety of places around Los Angeles that offer yoga just for your littles. We’ve rounded up our 8 favorite kids’ yoga classes in LA below (most of which are on KidPass!).
Where: 333½ South Robertson Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA
Inside this yoga studio in Beverly Hills, you’ll find incredible design, clean white walls, bright natural light, Manduka yoga mats, and a cute crowd of kids in stretchy pants. The studio offers a variety of lively 45-minute yoga classes for kids (5 and up), preschoolers (2-4), and babies (newborn-2). There are programs for tweens and teens, too. While kids disconnect in class, parents are encouraged to recharge in a lounge with reliable WiFi and La Colombe lattes on draft.

Where: 12421 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
This Culver City spot is all about embracing the culture and color of the city with an adventurous asana, Hindu mythology and eclectic music. Kids can take “Lotus Littles,” split up into age-appropriate Lotus Toddlers (for kids ages 2-4) and Lotus Littles (for kids ages 5-10), in which they can expect to explore fun poses, balancing, twisting, strengthening and stretching, as well as breathing and meditation. They’ll learn to keep their bodies healthy, hearts happy and brains calm.

On Tuesday afternoons, kids ages three to six can learn basic yoga poses, songs and simple breathing. SoulPlay Yoga also offers “Yoga for Exceptional Children,” a class designed specifically for kids with special needs. The program helps them improve strength, flexibility, focus, confidence, motor coordination and body awareness.

Interested in getting your 4 to 10-year-old into hot yoga? Look no further than Glow Hot Yoga, located in Huntington Beach. In each of their kids’ classes, they aim to stoke creativity, teach cooperation and instill confidence—all while having fun! Parents can either wait outside or try a hot yoga class of their own! (Sorry, you can’t take this class with the kiddos).
5. Zooga Yoga
Zooga offers yoga classes for babies, kids, teens, expecting moms, parents and families at its three local spots.

6. Yoga Blend
Where: 1921 W Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA
Where: Yoga Blend offers many styles and traditions of yoga, believing everyone needs different things at different times in their lives. Their studio has a small, community-feel that creates a level of comfort for new and returning practitioners. They offer pre- and post-natal yoga classes to help moms and babies connect and gain strength. Kids yoga classes are offered to two different age groups (ages four to seven and eight to 12) and teach strength and body awareness.,

7. Alo Yoga
Where: Your little yogi (ages 4 and up) will love the yoga classes at Alo Yoga in the Pacific Palisades. Alo’s signature Kids, Tween and Family classes are a fresh take on yoga that combine mindful movements and techniques to promote health and relaxation. In each 60-minute class, count on awesome music, fun activities and dynamic, world-class teachers. Kids and tweens can take classes alone, or you can sign your family up for a child and parent class!

At this Woodland Hills studio, mini-meditators can try out a slew of classes (and mom and dad can, too!). Kids ages four to six will enjoy the Junior Warrior class—students work on focus, balance and coordination. There’s even a class for tweens!
