No matter what your age, everyone loves a birthday present. And it’s not just friends and family who will spoil you with goodies on your b-day. Here in the Bay Area, there are a whole bunch of local companies from pizza places and bakeries to bowling alleys who offer free perks for the young, old and everyone in between on their special day.
1. Free slice at Pizza My Heart
The family owned chain Pizza My Heart serves up delicious slices of ‘za at their locations all over the Bay Area from Cupertino to San Jose. Sign your kids up for their Pizza My Heart birthday club and they’ll receive a birthday postcard in the mail that can be traded in for a free slice of their choice.
This deal is muy caliente! Join Club Baja and you’ll get the chance to feast on a free burrito on your birthday (plus you’ll get a free taco just for signing up). They have multiple locations all around the Bay Area from Corte Madera to San Jose.

Benihana’s is a fab place for a birthday celebration, with all that delicious food as well as the experience of watching your meal being prepared right before your eyes. Even better, kids ages 12 and under who are in their Kabuki Kids program will get a free souvenir mug of their choice with the purchase of any Kabuki Kids meal. (Note: Registration in the club takes about two to four weeks to process, so make sure you register them early).
Become a member of Rubio’s Beach Club and not only will you get a coupon for a free entree on your birthday, you’ll also get a free taco coupon just for signing up. They have many Bay Area locations including San Francisco, Daly City, San Mateo and El Cerritos.
5. A free kid’s meal at the Old Spaghetti Factory
Sign your child up for the Old Spaghetti Factory’s Birthday Club and they’ll receive one of their classic Italian meals for free. This special birthday meal is available at one of their Bay Area locations in San Jose, Redwood City or Concord.
6. A free slice of cake at SusieCakes

Now this is a sweet deal! Download the SusieFavors app and not only will you get a slice of any of their cakes on your birthday, but you’ll receive two cupcakes just for signing up.
7. Free stack of pancakes at IHOP
Adults and teens can feast on a free stack of Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity Pancakes at the International House of Pancakes on their birthday. To get this delicious perk, join IHOP’s Pancake Revolution but note that it’s only for those 13 and up.
8. Free CPKids meal at California Pizza Kitchen
Register your child (12 and under) for the CPKids Birthday Club and they’ll get a free CPKids Meal during their birthday month. They’ll be able to choose between a variety of pasta and pizza entrees which come with a drink and sundae.

You don’t have to head for the border for your birthday, go to Chevys instead. If you join Chevys Compadres Club you’ll receive a card for a free entree (up to $12.99) for your birthday (for ages 13 and up). You’ll also get a free appetizer for signing up.
10. Free beauty gift at Sephora
This one is for the moms! If you’re a Beauty Insider at Sephora, you’ll receive a free gift at checkout during your birthday month. Currently, for 2016, the birthday bonus is a Fresh mini-cleanser and mask set.
11. Get $25 birthday reward at Rainforest Cafe
Where: 145 Jefferson Street, San Francisco, CA
Kids love to go to the epic active Rainforest Cafe in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf and it’s even more fun when it’s their birthday. You know why? They get a $25 birthday reward! You can earn this generous perk by joining Landry’s Select Club. You also get $25 Welcome Reward just for signing up (as well as other bonuses).
Sign up for Yogurtland’s Real Rewards program and you can earn a free 3 oz yogurt to a 16 oz yogurt (depending on your Real Rewards level). Yum.
13. Free burger at Johnny Rockets
Johnny Rockets will give you a free burger for your birthday at their Fisherman’s Wharf, Concord or San Jose locations. All you need to do is sign up for their Rocket eClub (you’ll also receive a free burger for signing up). Add on fries and a shake and you’ve got the perfect celebration!
14. A birthday surpise at World Market
There are a whole bunch of perks for joining the World Market Explorer Club from earning rewards to exclusive deals. But one of the best perks is getting a birthday “surprise” for your big day. We don’t know what you’ll get, but who doesn’t love a surprise, right?
15. Free Sandwich at Dickey’s BBQ Pit
You know what’s nice to do on your birthday? Sink your teeth into a juicy, succulent BBQ sandwich, a sandwich you can get for free from Dickey’s BBQ Pit (when you buy one). You’re eligible for this perk when you sign up for their Big Yellow Cup Club which comes along with all sorts of extra bonuses all year long.
16. Free egg sandwich at Einstein Brothers
Join the Smear Society at Einstein Brothers (located in Hayward and the San Jose International Airport) and you’ll receive a free egg sandwich (with purchase) for your birthday. Since they make some of the best bagels around, you should pick up a dozen or so while you’re there.
17. Free Smoothie at Jamba Juice
Enjoy a free smoothie or juice from one of the many Jamba Juice locations all over the Bay Area. This delicious perk is part of joining their Jamba Juice Rewards club.
As parents, we can use all the free coffee we can get! When you join Starbucks Rewards, you’ll receive a free beverage or treat to celebrate your big day. Note, this is only for those 13 and older.
19. Free game of bowling at AMF Lanes
Hit the pins for free at either AMF Shoreline Lanes (in Alameda) or AMF Pinole Valley Lanes on your birthday. All you have to do is join the Pinsiders Club and you’ll get to play a round for free.
20. Free steak dinner at Black Angus
Get a free steak dinner (yes, you read that right) at Black Angus. A seriously great deal for those who sign up for their Prime Club.
